Orange Park Country Club, is a Semi-Private, 18 hole golf course located in Orange Park, Florida, just 20 minutes from downtown Jacksonville.
Orange Park Country Club opened for play in 1990. The course was designed by Robert M. Miller.
The par 72 layout boasts tree-lined fairways with water hazards on 14 of the 18 holes. There are numerous wetland areas. The greens are generously proportioned to accommodate both the average and exceptional player!
#4 is a 416 yard, par 4, challenging with a difficult drive protected by water on the left and hazard on the right. The lengthy second shot must be played to a well-protected green over water.
#7 is another standout hole, a par 5, measuring at 540 yards from the tips. It can be hit in two but only if you circumvent a large pond short and right of the well-bunkered green.
#18 is a short par 4 at just 387 yards from the tips but with water running down the entire left of the fairway then sweeping right across and past the well-bunkered green, you will recognize that length is not the challenge on this hole.
Orange Park Country Club is the par 72 layout that measures 7,048 yards from the back tees. With four additional sets of tees, this course provides enjoyment for all levels of players.
The course closed on February 28, 2019.
The course which has sold for $2 million in April 2018 closed at the end of February 2019. Homeowners in this golf course community are of course concerned with the future of the property.
